Post-Game Talk: Stupendous Stu offsets the broken Hyman

I can’t see Jeff Skinner being a positive impact in a series this physical. He can’t skate or hit or make quick decisions. My guess is Jones is next man up or they do go 11-7 with Ekholm. I suppose being up 3-1 gives them some leeway to experiment and maybe try something outside the box to see if it works so maybe we do see him for a game.
Yeah. He is too slow too. He always looks a step behind. There is no way Knob plays him.

Jacob must hate this guy upending him every series. Thought it was strange when it occurred last season but happening twice is a thing. Skinner hasn't caused a goal in 3 of the games in this series and has played well. He's minimizing his mistakes currently. Focus seems better.

I would be blasting Skinner on the Perry goal and I blasted Otter for it. So shallow on that play on an obvious pass across. on pk you need more from your goalie. with the way Dallas are not scoring that was the game, and indeed that was the winning goal.

In fairness to Otter, that pass by Nuge was deceptively slick. Reminded me of Nuge's Datsyuk like skills dating back from his rookie and sophomore season here when he was a magician all over the offensive end with his passing.
Way to f***ing go, Nugey.

You don’t score 40 in this league without the ability to make quick decisions. I can’t believe you think Jones, who is AHL fodder, is a better option than Skinner

DeBoer is about to lose his sixth conference final in a row. He's made the playoffs the 6/7 years with three different organizations and lost the conference final every year. Add in losing two prior SCF with two different organizations. That is the literal picture of coaching futility.

Dallas has issues and the roster is overrated but this guy is the common denominator for multiple organizations coming up short. Of those seven years, the one year he missed with Vegas was the Vegas injury meme year and then suprise, fired, goes to Dallas, loses in WCF vs his old team who unsurprisingly goes on to punk FLA.

How many rosters you gonna have to fire for this guy to win? Is he the unluckiest coach of all time?
In fairness in a 32 team league being Final 4 almost all the time, it ain't really failure. Guy is always going to have a job.

A different look at it is making the SC final twice and the Conference final 6X. Thats good on a resume.

Doboer took a NJ Devils team all the way to the final one year and lost to Kings in 6. Kings were rolling any other club that year. You look at the teams. SJ, Devils, Dallas. They are SC caliber. They're around, and one could even say they are due to coaching, but they lack any gamebreakers. Until Rantanen they never had a superstar and Rants isn't really one either. You need guns in the playoffs that can score. Every club does.

Dallas shouldn't even be in the Conference Final this year. Kind of like Carolina they just did barely enough to advance. At no point have Dallas players been confident scoring in this playoffs. The finish is abysmal on that club. The statline I mentioned doesn't like. Scoring zero goals on 80shots in first periods on 180shot attempts. Thats some shooting failure.

Yeah, wanting to play Max Jones feels insane. I could see Knoblauch disliking Skinner's game enough to do it but I don't know.

It feels like with Brown and Hyman out we're probably going to have to find some more secondary scoring and it's not going to come from Max Jones.

I sorta agree but RNH is so damn smooth on that pass that I don’t blame Otter for being mesmerized by it.
Nuge is gonna make that pass everytime has burned OTT on it 3X in the series. He's gotta recognize the play. Perry was camped there setting up a fire to keep his hands warm.

Nuge is completely owning Ott in this series.

Sure, making the playoffs is really hard if you wanna boil it down to some kind of participation thing. At the end of the day winning is what matters.

No one pats the Buffalo Bills on the back for losing four superbowls in a row because "it's hard to get there". It's a well known famous sports trivia failure.

PDB isn't a horrible coach, but imo he's not gonna get you over the hump. Could he be one of the greatest all time who manages to Midas touch subpar teams much further than he can? Sure. But given he's gone through four different orgs and more than 100 players, some of whom actually have been very elite; Occam's razor dictates that likely the issue is just his system ain't what it needs to be to win it all.

Somehow Bob and Andersen are at a .914 and Stu is all the way back up at a .910 after his horrific start.

JAAKKKKKKKOB is down at a .908

Was it that slick though?

He never even opened up to fake a shot.

Yeah. I've pointed this out a lot. Both should just be benched. But Dallas can't score goals at all so no matter how awful they are in the lineup.

Wyatt minutes into the third tries to get a puck by Drai at the Oilers blueline. Results in almost a GA for Oilers. Like dumb as rocks stuff. You can try that play on Drai 10X and give up and oddman rush 10X.

All Duchene does is hit goal posts, throw pucks away, loose battles.

As bad as these two have been in this series its hard to imagine that they've managed to be this bad the entire postseason.
I’m hoping they sour on Wyatt and sell. He is a perfect buy low target
