After how much I’ve raged about Skinner, I don’t know if I can even allow myself to feel happy for him.

I know I’m going to get a lot of flak for saying this, but I still think his success is due more to how the Oilers have to play in front of him than any natural God-given talent.

I’m enjoying the ride but with Skinner I’m trying not to feel like “waiting for the show to drop” - I can’t help it.

It’s mind blowing that in the third period with the Oilers already up 2-1 in the game and the series, they outshot the Stars 13-4.

That’s actually insane and something you basically never see at this level in games between two good teams.

The Oilers are among the cream of the crop it took a very long time but we are the team to beat. They have done everything but Win a cup and that looks like it’s about to change soon. Nothing this team does be it good or bad surprises me anymore. When you can be dead and buried 2 times, once in December and once in the finals. And manage to somehow claw back to within goal of a Stanley cup, nothing that happens after that surprises me.

I can say with absolute 100% conviction. The Nuge is HUGE!!! and at a mere $5.125m/yr. The Nuge and Hyman contracts more than offset the Nurse contract and buyouts. I'd also add the Ekholm and now Walman contracts as well.
