Post-Game Talk: Stupendous Stu offsets the broken Hyman

In my brain I just thought it was funny to say that. Terrible news on Hyman. KK won't end the suspense and tell us wrist or shoulder. "Lets just say upperbody" KK forever the tactician, doesn't even want next season opponents to know. Smart man.

Best coach here since Sather/Muckler.
Yep this sucks. Freak injury. Figured it was going to be bad news last night listening to the players talking about him in the post game. Team is on a mission though. Somebody will step up.

Dang it, man. Massive blow losing Hyman. He is sorely needed especially against Florida. Others will need to step up. The team did so last night wonderfully but will need to do it the rest of the way.

It just means Drai and McDavid will see more ice time to cover Hyman, hopefully they can handle it
I don't see the point in burning them out when we have a proven top six forward waiting in the wings.

Skinner doesn't even have to play in the top six. He showed this year that he can produce from anywhere in the lineup. I think people are underestimating how big of a hit losing Hyman/Brown is to our depth scoring and Jones, Ryan or a 7th defenceman aren't going to help.

He was so happy to tweet that he didn't even look to fix any grammar errors. LOSER.
Stop. You’re gonna hurt his feels.

Now he’s gonna complain that not only are Brown, Struddie, Zubie and Randeen all making fun of him but now so is HFBoards. I can only stand so much whining from poor little “Rishard”

I could actually somewhat see the logic of putting Jones in, as he certainly would get in on the forecheck and punish the Stars D in a playoff game, and obviously he'd get away with a lot more in the playoffs too. But I think we'll just see Ekholm come in for Hyman and go 11-7. The depth got us here, now it's time for McDavid and Drai to take over and win us a game in Dallas.

Pass. By anybody that saw warrior Mike Grier keep coming back and keep hitting and separating his shoulder and getting it snapped in on the bench or room and coming out again. My lord. I felt that pain everytime he laid a hit. Oh look arm hanging limp again.

Hyman probably would go for it too. Don't do it. Tell Frederic to do something. Isn't hits supposed to be his thing? It was in Boston when he was at his best.

Hyman was a man on a mission, but the silver lining is the Oil can likely have Podz, Kap, and Frederic all absorb a lot of his minutes and impact (literally and meritorically).

The news about Hyman is crushing. And all because of a goon who, like most of the players on that garbage team, have been headhunting our guys all series long. Game 3 they tried taking out Brown, Frederic and RNH and last night Hyman and Kane. I'm sure they'll be doing the same shit on Thursday so it's imperative we end this series ASAP.

Hoping Skinner can come in and play some good hockey. Hyman is a massive loss that can't be replaced but I think this team has the depth to overcome it. Rally around this and win the Cup for Hyman.

I'm not at the games but I find the reactions odd today. used to go to the SC playoff games in 80s and then 97,98 and so on. Todays crowd seems more involved in the dramatic reactions to officiating, to the team being jobbed, to a mental concept of that. Of Lucy yanking the football away. Its just different today and a zeitgeist that for sure wasn't part of the 80's. Back then it was bedlam and expectation of winning it all. Today seems like the fanbase is conditioned for shoe drops or something bad happening. I wonder if Decade of doom and all that just infused something in us. That we don't detect as much but others would.

Last night I was gobsmacked how many times, and how much of the fans attention was booing non calls or silly chants. Glad the fans captured the moments at times, like the end. "Why not sing we want the cup" let the joy flow once in awhile. not just for goals. Giddy is fine. Allow the giddy, party like its the 80's.
Not selling alcohol in the building back in the 80’s kept that place subdued. Outside writers called the coliseum the mausoleum. It was a much different atmosphere in that building by the time the team returned to the playoffs in the late 90’s once the booze was flowing.

Brown is back after THU. He is fine and healthy according to Bob and Rob Brown. He is stuck in concussion protocol

Really? They did not sell alcohol inside in the 80's? I only started watching and going in the early 90's.

I always thought the crowd looked too quiet/subdued for what they were witnessing

I'd be willing to bet that 3/4 of these "insiders" so to speak are just complete losers. I don't hate Rishaug but I can just picture the heavy mouth breathing as he was trying to make sure his tweet was the first of 15 that I saw this morning with the exact same news.
