But seriously, I can't ever recall seeing a goalie who was either shutdown or a broken sieve- no in between. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm too lazy to verify but he has 4 wins this playoffs with only 1 goal against?

Can anyone think of another goalie from years gone by who has this kind of performance?

I am Sens fan but I like the Oilers' style so I hope the shutdown version of him shows up 6 more times.

Sorry but Skinner isn't good enough to get a nickname. He should maybe start by playing more consistently before he even gets a nick name. Did Dan Cloutier get a nick name? He was so bad in playoffs that people forgot about him.

Fleury has won cups. That is the big difference. Until Skinner wins cups, then he will just be forgotten once he gets older and retire.

my point still stands, no point in giving an average or below average goalie a nickname. There are many inconsistent goalies out there that don't have a nickname. Skinner is just a goalie propped up by a pretty good team that keeps going deep in playoffs while he plays only half the games for them in playoffs.

TBH even if he wins the Cup, he's still a pretty bad goalie who got lucky enough to play with McDavid.
