The thing is he sometimes look ok, he big, so the puck will hit him at some point.

You essentially get a table looking like this

2 Nightmares mode, but he tells you he played great.
3 Bad but the Oilers score 5+ we lose 6-5
4 Ok-meh game, we win 5-3
5 Ok game, one very bad goal win if we score 4+
6 Actually a quality starts, the Oilers dominate.

In three years as the Oilers starter, you can count on one hand the time he win us a game we were not supposed to.
A playoff goalie needs to steal one every serie.

I guess one good game here and there is enough for people to keep drumming.

It's a near statistical certainty with all the goalies who have played playoff games that someone, in some game, would have stats like this.

It's like flipping a coin 100 times and finding the longest string of heads from flips 67-79 and claiming that the coin is more likely to get heads on those flips.
