Hank said it, when you’re only throwing crap at Igor it only makes him stronger
Yeah and everyone knows this, too, which makes the fact that Canes keep doing it pretty bad strategy in my eyes. The volume strategy works in the regular season and it can even work in the playoffs depending who you're going up against. But an elite guy like Igor WANTS volume, he wants 15 shots in the first period, he wants you shooting from all angles. His D men know it and they do a good job in front.

I've been a goalie my whole life, back when I was good and it mattered, nothing was better than a few unscreened shots early on. Very often you'd find guys taking shots off the rush from the tops of the circles, players tend to rush things early in games because everyone is trying to get a feel for it. But when you throw a handful of pucks at me that don't really have a chance of going in, I'm applauding you and asking for more. I'm getting into the game, I'm establishing my angles, I'm confident in my movements and I'm feeling the puck and getting a nice jump on my tracking.

4th win this series isnt going to come easy. Hopefully I'm drunk enough to withstand the nerves.

It hasn't gotten the attention that a one-timer goal would, but Zibanejad really did a lot of work on the Kreider shorthanded goal.

He isn't chirping like Tro or throwing the body around, nor is he making flashier plays, but he has been pretty effective again these playoffs. He has had a couple of really good postseasons now relative to his regular season performances.

Fantastic backcheck at the end of the game too.

He has been dynamite.

Given the circumstances Schneider could be a top 3 star every damn game these playoffs.
Kid takes hits all day to make plays. Gets right back up. Wouldn't trade him for 3 Zegras'
Lavy demoting Trouba to the 3rd pair and keeping Miller-Schneider is legitimately a season saving decision in my eyes.

What other coaches are making that move at that point in the season, to their captain who only lost his spot because he got hurt? Not many.

Smart coaching staff

Love this so much. GG just sticks with a lineup to do it. Wait till we lose for fun. Some of our fans where of that same mindset. Lavy has his finger on the pulse pretty well. What gives us the best chance to win? Do that.

Happy to admit I was wrong about Lavy. Not a retread. Not every old coach who just goes with the veterans just to do it. Played Rempe when he probably could have put Chytil in but timed it right. Got rid of the dregs in our bottom 6 even though they were his guys when we started to click in the middle of the season.. It's been refreshing.

Never wanna look too far ahead, but worth noting that the Canes are probably the best team in the Rangers way to the big prize. That they are up 3 to zip is just amazing. Love this team.
Florida, Dallas and Colorado still concern me. But we have a very smart coaching staff who are very good at the x's and o's stuff. They can find a game plan.

Kreider might not have the C on his jersey but there's zero doubts he speaks like a captain to the media at all turns.
He has been through all the playoff battles and so much with us. To see him with a Stanley Cup IF IT FINALLY HAPPENS...will be soooo beautiful. He has certainly earned it. I don't want to jinx anything. All those battles and we came up short. Oh, please, hockey gods...
