So I don't know how I feel about being a defense first team. It's not something I have ever had to think about really. We've had plenty of teams that relied on goaltending to save their asses, but I have never seen a Ranger team deny zone entry like this one did in the third to protect that lead.

In the end, I watch to be entertained, and a mucky win does that better for me that a high flying loss.

I need to watch it over, but I thought it looked like Fox stretched his leg out trying to get out of the way more than Aho targeting him. This season kinda depends on that knee being ok.

I am getting tired of Chytil and his little injuries. C'mon man. I wonder how much we would have to add to him to get Elias Lindholm out of Calgary. NHL radio was saying they are on the verge of blowing it up and his contract is expiring this year. That would give us great depth down the middle.

Trocheck gets alot of crap on this board but he's an important part of this team. He won 70% of his faceoffs (he's quietly at 62% for the year ) He led the team in hits. led forwards in blocked shots and had a takeaway and was jut overall gritty. Good game for Trouba and Will is continuing to give us something to smile about. Good tough it out win led by the veterans.
