Huge loss.I wonder how things would have gone with him in net all series. He kind of comes off as the alpha of the group and they feed off of him. Big loss.

....based on what, exactly? If by some miracle leafs win tonight, I'm sure Stolly will be back for game #7.

Series would be 3-0 Leafs. That injury killed the leafs season. They probably win game three with him in goal.
You can hear him shouting out instructions etc to his dmen during play. Way better at playing the puck too, less punishment for Tanev back there. It's scandalous.I wonder how things would have gone with him in net all series. He kind of comes off as the alpha of the group and they feed off of him. Big loss.
If you watched the replay from behind...his neck and spinal cord looked like they hyperextended toward the right side when Bennett forearmed him on the head. From what a reporter said this week Stolarz’ injury is far worse than people think. Something like that
So there actually is one negative in being 6'6If you watched the replay from behind...his neck and spinal cord looked like they hyperextended toward the right side when Bennett forearmed him on the head.

The 1 week monitoring period is over, he's not taking part in practice, and he's not travelling with the team.
This still stings. If Stolarz is in the net, the Leafs play tomorrow, in fact the Leafs probably win the Cup. He was a 3rd dman handling the puck, he was vocal with team-mates and clearly he has hockey sense because the team was so much more calm with Stolarz in the net. Thats the toughest pill to swallow, the Leafs would be playing tomorrow if 41 was not removed from the net. My view on the play? Bennett didnt swing his arm but what skating speed is he at, id guess around 20km/h and with a stiff elbow, thats some damage. No suspension but 41 admitted he was concussed and was throwing up 45 mins after head impact. 41 is a warrior and made me so damn proud as a Leaf fan.
U cant see the difference in trust between Stolarz and Woll, its not easy to see its subtle but its very obvious. I knew 41 was the playoff goalie this year before December. They play different, if u cant see it, no worries.Sorry this narrative is nonsense. Handling the puck helps the breakout it is not making up being shutout and scoring 1 goal at home.
Reminder Stolarz had a .901 sv% before getting hurt which is bottom of the league and all of that was against a much weaker team.

How was it not serious? He didn't play in the rest of the 6 games!Good job by the Leafs planting the story that Stolarz's injury was very serious.
