Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

Confirmed out for series. Has not skated at all

Curse lives on

f***
Well then we’ll just have grind that out too.

I say F*** curses, and F*** Maurice, and F*** the refs.

We’re up 2-1 on the defending Champs and they got their win via overtime on our backup.

Time for our fanbase our team and our “back-up” to just say F*** all the noise and rinse and repeat.

We ARE different this time come what may.

And Maurice F***** knows it.

Adequate was not how he was in the regular season, so again, I am asking, why is there such a big swing in his play? He was the top goaltender in the regular season, he is not that currently in the playoffs.

Nothing you mentioned would make me believe that he should have dropped off this much.
This is a dumb question. There is no "reason", just the simple truth that everyone has their ups and downs and Stolarz isn't some magic man that is immune to this. This shouldn't be baffling to anyone that knows anything about hockey.

I wouldn't even call Woll a backup, our 1B goalie is probably more accurate. He's a very good goalie who is part of a quality tandem that's shared the load all season long.

Agreed; Fixed it.

Yep. And I'd say for Leafs fans to tune out Paul Maurice press conferences and don't waste your time on Brad Marchand troll quotes either.

These guys think they're master manipulators and using the media to frame this and mind games that. Well, truth is you play for a rather insignificant market with no national coverage, you can't come on our stage and use the mic.

We don't care what you say, Paul. You're not holding court. We don't care what you think about the officiating or how hard to play the game. We don't care about your mindset in a series.

We don't care about Brad Marchand or what he thinks of the Leafs maturation or his ongoing little pats on the head for Mitch Marner.

Next time the Game 5 crowd is in session, rain down the boos and abuses every time a Panther touches the puck and help the Leafs bully them into the offseason. Be-gone with Florida.

He isn't even skating. The league let our starting goalie legit get taken out with absolutely no suspension or anything
Usually the 10 day period involves fitness tests (usually cycling) to monitor for symptoms afterwards. Not holding out hope though since its the leafiest outcome possible.

Good sign that he is on ice in full gear. He must have passed concussion protocol's first couple of steps which was the rest period for 48-72hrs. He is now in stage 3 of protocol, which states:

Graduated Return-to-Play Process:

    • The protocol outlines a series of progressive steps, starting with symptom-limited activity and progressing to light aerobic exercise, sport-specific exercises, non-contact drills, full-contact practice, and finally, unrestricted play.
    • Each step should last at least one day, and a player can only move to the next step if they do not experience any concussion-related symptoms or signs, and if cleared by a physician.
My guess is that he already passed the symptom-limited activity and progressing to light aerobic exercises, and sport specific exercises. Especially if he is on ice in full gear. Which would mean this is non contact drills stage. If all goes well and there are no symptoms in the morning, he should be able to have full contact practice tomorrow. Now whether or not he plays tomorrow is a different question. I would say he probably will not and will be given the extra two days with Woll playing as he has been. No need to rush him. But he will definitely be on ice or backup for game 6 depending on tomorrows outcome.

He's alive! He's alive!!
Awesome.

Cue the order for the Franken-Goalie mask next year. Wait, torches and villagers and a windmill and destruction. Cue the order for a Phoenix Maple Leafs mask. Wait, extreme power, turns to ash, forget that. Cue an empty tomb mask with blazing light chasing the darkness away...No downside - Make it so!

I kid. Just happy to hear the news.

And if you're reading this Stolie: Take it easy. We have no doubts about you. Also, drugs are really good these days and we can't wait for you to see Bennett again, oh. So. Soon.
