Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

I just can't believe that Bennett didn't get a game for this. League needs their head examined.
Probably has something to do with this. He's still bitching about it I'm sure.

Craig Button with a take

Now I understand what happened. Sam Bennett plays hard and on the edge. He plays in a way that gets people upset. This is a hockey play.
The laugh to start triggered me.

f*** you Button.

That’s been the common response from most everyone I heard today - O’Dog, Hayes, Rosehill. I never saw a real speed video until now and guys like Bunkis were making it sound like it was a vicious elbow when there was none.
Should have been a penalty for goalie interference.

I want to tell you all a story. One year Tie Domi brutally elbowed Scott Niedermayer in the head at the end of a playoff game. We were winning the series and playing well.

The devil's decided that retribution was not the answer. Instead they banded together, played absolutely amazing the rest of the series and beat the Leafs.

That hit changed the whole series. Sure we knocked out their best defenseman but because of that the better team showed up with resolve and discipline . And won.
Tie’s son has the potential to do something as dumb or dumber than his dad did in that series………

By the way, do with this what you will:

Yeah I said and am still leaning with trauma induced vertigo or the autonomic response. Actually it was probably the autonomic response and not what I was thinking considering he is up and about now smiling at breakfast.

Colin Campbell also has a documented issue with Marc Savard during his time as a player, and court proven records of him trying to influence officiating to help his son during his playing career. Gregory Campbell is currently AGM of the Panthers.

What's "fun" is his defense for trying to get special treatment for his son was essentially "I didn't know they could use my old emails against me"

Of course the NHL saw no issue with any of it.

"Some time, Rock, when the team is up against it, when things are wrong and the breaks are beating the boys, ask them to go in there with all they've got and win just one for the Gipper."

This could be monumental. The TSN turning point but not in a good way. Knies needs to beat the shit out of Bennett.

Or if he can't do it then dress Reaves for a game or two.

Get the message out loud and clear. This team won't take any crap. Not doing anything would still be sending a message I guess... the wrong one.

We were told things were gonna be different this time.

That they were gonna play a heavier game standing up for themselves and each other. Instead the same clown deliberately injures another one of their key players with zero pushback. They need to show Stolarz how much he means to them and kick Florida's ass both literally and figuratively.

Win one game, just one game, for Stolie the goalie.

I think Gregory is an amazing AGM. We should try to pach him. He deserves $50M per year.

Something I've never considered in that incident is Orr still holding his jersey as he fell. Happens so fast but ideally you can let go there so Parros doesn't come down hard chest first to the ice.
That's in slow-motion...they are still holding onto each other's jerseys and throwing punches as Parros was falling...Orr also lost his balance and fell...it was a bad outcome for Parros...Orr wasn't being malicious...it's easy to scrutinize from a distant view of the entire fight.

Feels like the outrage on this one is going to blow over.

Cats come as advertised, they are a nasty team. Bennet is a little asshole, rubbed into Stolie on purpose, a couple f*** you's after the whistle. The refs and DOPs ain't going to help.

No penalties, no suspensions. So all is fair in love in war.

We got the win, gotta take the series now, and this group will come out the other side stronger than before against the wussy Canes and whatever the West can conjure up.

Nobody's going to go through the Cats for nothing.

The moment you start seeking retribution, is the moment you play perfectly into Florida's hands. That's exactly what they want you to do.

Think in general against both Florida and Ottawa, the Leafs have done a really good job of ignoring a lot of the post-whistle nonsense. That needs to continue being the case.
Yeah, John Cooper said that for the last 3 years. TOR doesn't have to be stupid, just hit the hell out of Barkov and Tkachuk everytime Bennett and Eckblad start their shit. Better do it early. Watch FLA lost, they will double down. Watch tomorrow night the elbows, charges and boarding.
