Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

I also predict a player to make a bad play/hit and it results in a multiple game suspension for "predatory" reasons. This is the Parros special. The Spezza suspension which was insanely high for this exact reason.
The league likes this and encourages it, it generates buzz. Parros is a clown

That elbow to the head was predatory...nothing natural about it...Stolarz was on his knees leaning forward on his arms...how natural is it for another player to also go that low to deliver an elbow to the head?! That rat! You could see Stolarz's head and neck got pushed hard to one side on one of camera angles.

No discipline for Bennett apparently. Honestly the guy needs to get blown up, hit hard and often. Reeves is useless, don’t dress him. The team on the ice needs to address this and do it with as much punishment as possible. A fight isn’t good enough. Play with the same grease and disrespect for their players.

Well if it turns to vigilante justice don't be shocked. This round, next round. In the absence of the law or rules, the law of the jungle reigns supreme.

Injuries going forward are on the NHL. Players association should be contacting their lawyers in preparation for suits against the NHL. I mean this stuff is open and shut pretty much.

There is no equal application of the rules. It will fuel further injuries and there is no excuse.

This league is a joke, a disgusting joke. Hope this lights a fire under the ass of this team and they run over the Panthers, f***ing disgusting pukes.

Put your mouth where your money is.

George Parros, who is the Senior Vice President of Player Safety. The NHL's main office is located at 50 Bay St, Toronto, ON M5J 2X8, Canada. The Toronto office phone number is 416-359-7900

It seems Sam Bennet has a get out of jail free card, In the past three playoffs including this one, he has attempted intentionally to injure or has injured several players including two Leafs. It was a deliberate elbow to the head. knocking him to the ice. It is not too far fetched to think that given the right angle with the elbow pads that are harder than concrete you actually break someone's neck with that kind of elbow/forearm shiver. It is par for the NHL to have a former goon player be the head of discipline.

If that was a legit intentional head shot hope they decapitate that prick. Or maybe just run over Bob.

Lost amongst the chaos last night - the Leafs medical team, and concussion spotters, all missed Stolarz taking a puck, and then an elbow, to the head. He kept playing.

It literally took him coming over to the bench and puking his guts out before they realized something was wrong.

That's woefully inept and simply not good enough.

You're right. The DOPS and PA has an obligation to protect the players. Even if it's players from unruly players

So any further update on how serious this is? Or chances of a suspension for Bennett? This all just seems like a big joke to me if nothing gets done about it. That should be 2 games mandatory.

To be fair goalies get a puck to the mask fairly regularly and they don’t really get pulled from games on default.

Does anyone other than the orange idiot to the South, inspire any less confidence in their ability to do their job than Punch Drunk Parros?

Guy has 1 active brain cell left.

Just an absolute joke of a “disciplinary” body. The mandate is clear as mud.
What does the “Orange Man” to the south have to do with a NHL playoff game? Check with your doctor, your TDS needs addressing……..

The NHL must get closer to the NFL QB mentality. Each position is unique in that they must pay attention to the players that aren't right in front of them. It's the only way for them to play well in their position and elevate the level of play in their sport. Unfortunately, goalies are not the cash cow that quarterbacks are and I think the NFL protects them mostly out of financial importance more than circumstantial criteria for playing the position well (aka ignoring the potential contact while maintaining focus elsewhere).

As has been said in this thread multiple times, no supplementary discipline of any type.

Stolarz is no longer at the hospital, that's all we know for now.

I hope we dispose of these guys early. I don’t want a series to drag on against a bunch of assault artists and a league that allows it.

Right or we have assurance that forearms to the back of the head to any goalie during and after play action is neither punishable by way of suspension or issuance of a penalty.

Seems fair to me.

Hits to the head should also be sacrosanct
