Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

They do condone it, as long as you're one of Bettman's pet franchises.

The Florida Panthers are a poverty franchise that for rescued by a billionaire so of course you want to stay in the good books. Meanwhile Toronto is owned by Rogers who keeps the NHL afloat with cable contracts. Hmmm.

I'd rather he gets a fist full of Domi

Surprising Benet does this to his old teammate. Pretty low tbh
Guys you might crucify me for this but I think this is the shot to the mask earlier. As greasy as Bennett is there is no way that does enough damage on it's own to justify being stretchered out.
Vertebral artery dissection can be triggered by relatively minor head or neck trauma, such as a standing height fall or the surface tension of water when waterskiing

my thing is this.
don't bother with getting revenge. on wednesday (or whenever the next game is). go in and beat the snot out of them on the scoreboard and get to Sunrise up 2-0, split there, and finish them at home. get revenge during the regular season when it doesn't matter. our goal is to get to the third round, and then move forward from there. let's not be stupid.

To do that the big boys would need to step up. Only Nylander did that last night. Matthews even missed an easy empty net goal. He has been invisible so far in the playoffs. Marner is the set up guy and the trigger man has been MIA. Tavares has been a give away machine in the D zone. But all that is fixable and barring any more Panther deliberate attempts to injure (unlikely) the Leafs could prevail if they have enough heathy bodies. The league has really lowering itself to the lowest common denominator. Trying to embrace themselves to the American appetite for violence versus a skill game is both disappointing and pathetic.

Intentional cheapshot to the head from Bennett. Vomiting and getting stretchered out from a concussion is a very bad sign, Stolie is almost certainly out for the series, and if we manage to make it through the Panthers without him, very likely out for
the entire playoffs.

What a f***ing piece of shit Bennett is. And I’m guessing we’ll see little-to-no suspension, because:
- The DoPS is an old boys club
- Colin Campbell has a rich history of corruption on behalf of his son’s teams
- Colin Campbell is the NHL’s Director of Hockey Operations, and his son Gregory is Assistant General Manager of the Panthers

If Bennett isn’t suspended, I’d strongly consider dressing Reavo. And his job is just to murder Bennett if the game is out of reach in either direction.

True. I want blood, but I want to win even more. Take the commanding series lead and cross your fingers it's enough. Maybe we get Stolarz back later, but if not, I'm not worried about round 3 no matter who's in net. This is the hardest series we'll play (and we're winning it so far). Eyes on the prize.

Damn you talking sense Daisy
I want to beat the dirty ******, sense be damned 😂

we only need him for a solid 30 seconds. Then he's getting ejected.
Exactly, just long enough to put Bennett in a coma. Who cares if he gets suspended. Marner and Nylander can double shift when needed and we bring Jarnkrok back for game 3 while Bennett lies unconscious in a hospital room for the rest of the series. This garbage against Leaf players has to stop one way or another.

So NHLPA basically :eek::eek::eek:ed all over themselves repeatedly suspending Bunting and Kadri and here we have a blatant repeat offender rat and somehow he's just avoiding punishment completely.

It isn't even noon the next day, ffs.

So you're a doctor who examined him and determined he had a concussion?

Stop pretending you know what is wrong with him as this could just as easily be his neck, not his head.

Stolie is almost certainly out for the series

Oh for f**k sakes, stop pretending you're a doctor.

He might be, he might not be, but you have absolutely no f**king idea.

Oh wait, your prognosis changed in the space of one sentence????

First he's out for the series, now he's out for the playoffs.

neck, head, spine are all treated the same, you can get hit in the neck and still end up with a concussion. the throwing up, definitely points to more concussion symptoms vs neck.

Woll was also sick last week, so there's also the chance the Stolarz has a sore neck and the flu. You can't rule that out as well. But if you throw up after a neck or head injury, they will do a CT and MRI to make sure everything is good with your brain, neck and spine. Very easily could have been the combo of getting hit with the puck, immediately followed by the elbow.

Reasons like this is why you have a good coach like Berube. Get that room prepared to use it as motivation to win the series , not win an “eye for eye” battle like most of the people want in here.

OMFG are you kidding me. It was a deliberate hit to the head and nothing? Come on that was pucking unreal.

There better be disciplinary action.

people wanting Reaves blows my mind. He is cooked as a hockey player. Him going after bennett would put us down 5 mins and Bennett is a tough SOB, probably doesn't even leave the game lol. Leafs need to focus on winning and scoring goals. Scoring 5 in game 1 is a good sign, we need more offense.

Yeah Bennet hit him from the side but more to the back of the head.

For doing this to a tender causing them harm the action should be series suspension for the perp and if injured the team should be allowed to choose an additional player for 2 games or until the injured player returns.

Hitting the tender like that will stop immediately.

I say play to win and focus on that for now, but if FLA gets the upper-hand in the series and is ever in a position to close the series out with a big win, then start taking shots and taking guys out to weaken them for the next round.

We already crossed that. There should be disciplinary action though.
