Bummer. Thought he was a rare Euro UFA that may have had some lower end NHL potential. Solid enough in the AHL but just didn’t do enough to stand out in a crowd.

Dumb. Waited too long to do something about Saad. Should have given him a shot and see what he had.
From my AHL viewings, I think he topped out as a good AHL player. Has a good shot, but not accurate. Just a good skater, not a gamebreaker at the AHL level. He was fun to watch though.

They see him play everyday in practice and the AHL. If they felt he was better I'd imagine he would have earned a spot.

Who knows, Sylvegard could have become the next Joakim Lindstrom. I guess we'll never know.
