No, hasn't been for a while.
He was a healthy scratch for parts of the PO too.
He's slow and has almost 0 offensive instincts, literally always make the worse possible play in the o-zone.
He's ok defensively but will get out of position/beat a lot because of poor reads. He used to be a lot better in that regard.
He is good at Faceoffs and decent at the PK

He's both better and worse than what any Stars fan will tell you.

It's a good trade for both. Dallas frees up cap for nothing, and STL gets a solid 4th line C. He was just overpaid for what Dallas needed.
