I can't help but wonder if his back issue caused him to seek an extension sooner rather than later, but obviously I'll take this deal all day. If he returns to form and stays healthy, this will be a great value for the full length of the contract.

As a previous poster mentioned, this is a huge relief for Armstrong and Blues fans to get this done now.
