After teasing us for some time, STI's novel is finally out. With all he has done for us I urge anyone who posts here who can swing it to purchase the novel on Amazon. It's $20 in paperback for those of us who are old and need paper and only $9 for you young people that use those new fangled electrical devices to read on.

I do not get one cent from this book but I'm happy to shill for STI and if the mods remove this shame on them as we get spammed annually by folks touting their prospect previews while our man shares his hard fought work gratis. I know I speak for all of our regulars when I say bravo Steve!!

Can someone add a link. I keep botching it.

Very thoughtful of you to post this, buddy. Appreciated.

Just FYI there are two mentions of the Boston Bruins in the book and I think a Ray Bourque reference, if you choose to argue the hockey angle haha.

the twist ending is that izzy never carves out a career as a powerplay specialist.

congrats man!
The part where Izzy accidentally brushes up against Sebastian Aho and then Aho goes sprawling to the ground clutching his ankle and screaming is classic, though.

@StevenToddIves - my wife tells me your book arrived. I'm excited to dive into it. I am so happy for you to get this published. I am disappointed I cannot go to the book signing event but I'm sure that will be fun. Thanks again for letting us all know about this.
River Grove is a very, very small indie press based in Austin TX so I'm not expecting wealth and fame. We'll see what the critics have to say haha. Advance reviews have been positive.

It means more to me than I can even convey that you guys are supporting me with this thread and even buying and reading my book. Thanks, forever.

Purchased! I'm not a book reader really at all, but I'll give this a go. We really appreciate all your insights @StevenToddIves !

If @Guadana decides to write a book, I'll buy that one too ;)
@Guadana is actually an incredibly talented artist, which people should know. I've seen some his work -- just tremendous, outstanding stuff.

I’ll provide constructive criticism along the way so the next book will be even better. First we will start by having you dedicate the next one to me.

People will think I have 3 sons and am dedicating the book to them. You'll still be mired in obscurity. We'll have to come up with a Plan B.
You are right. I guess we will have to dedicate it to @Guadana since he keeps you honest with thr prospects. Plan C is always around if the book does well enough you can buy my kids and then you really can dedicate to your three sons.

I'll probably be arranging some sort of event in Northern Jersey, as well, probably in November. I'll try not to schedule the same night as a Devils game. I'll post all info on my instagram: @steven.ives.author

It sucks that I won't be able to go :/ It would be cool to have my copy signed!
I'll try to arrange something in NJ for November, we'll see how that goes. If not, I go to a couple Devils game a year and will bring a pen.

I’m about 1/3 of the way through. So far it’s a great read. It’s something of a coming of age story combined with a mystery. At least so far. The story moves and the main characters are engaging. I hope everyone gets a chance to read it.
Hang onto your hat, the novel's got a few surprises in store haha.

Hey guys I'm going to try to schedule a reading in New Jersey. I've been told there are a few good indie bookstores to target in the Montclair area, but does anyone have any suggestions that I might not know about having lived out of state for the past 3 decades?
