HIT PARADE
After registering 10 hits against Winnipeg, Bruins LW Milan Lucic is the early league leader with 14 hits, two ahead of Buffalo C/RW Steve Ott and four ahead of Bruins D Zdeno Chara. Lucic led the Bruins, and ranked 26th in the league last year, with 201 hits in 81 games.

:yo: 6 hits per game? 2nd in the league? I'll take it!

This isn't a guy just racking up "scorerkeeper's hits", either. He's really flying out there and getting his body into plays. A lot of his hits are aggressive forecheck hits rather than merely finishing off a check on a guy (not that there's anything wrong with that). That really helps a team's forecheck and, as Ray has mentioned several times, gets defensemen looking over their shoulders/rushing their decisions.

Would love to see an Ott, Kaleta, and Foligno line, just for a game. :D

Wouldn't mind seeing that line come out after a special teams situation when the lines all get jumbled, though Ott and Kaleta would likely have just played if it's the PK.
