Pool: Statsy's WJC Pool: 10th Anniversary

Welcome back to Statsy's WJC Pool as we celebrate our first decade of competition!

The draft will begin at 1:00 PM EST/10:00 AM PST/7:00 PM CET

The scoring system remains the same as in previous years, allowing each entrant to not only compete with the other members of the pool, but with your own previous drafts. Sorry, no goalie assists.

The Scoring System:
We will snake draft 6 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 1 goalie.
Goal = 1 point
Assist = 1 point
Win = 2 points
Shutout = 2 points

I think you made a mistake. I'm supposed to pick last. I never get the actual pick I want to get.

I was looking for the middle. It's different for an 8 team pool obviously, but feels like there's a drop near 5 and another drop near 20 ish. Getting 1 of that top group and 2 more of that secondary group would be ideal for me. Obviously if someone views it different that changes.

Also Statsy isn't picking last some clearly something is messed up with the random generator.

You no damn well that the last lottery spot is mine! :laugh:

I actually changed randomizers this year, as I was getting tired of getting the same results out of RandomScrewOverStatsy.org
 
I can't believe I have the first pick and it's a year that's as tough as ever. I have at least 4-5 guys I'd be happy with but heck, we just never know who will rise to the top. I will tease you with a riddle for whom I will make the first pick tomorrow at 10am.

I've been good this year but I still want him in my stocking.

BTW - this doesn't mean we're getting rid of puns in lieu of riddles as that would be riddliculous.

I was thinking that next year we would announce our selections in the form of a haiku.
 
Tis the season… with Fighting Sioux’s first pick in the 2022 Statsy’s WJC Pool. I have a long list to select from which makes this tougher than a wall made of bricks. But I’ll Stad pat and the fight shall begin with the one and only Jesper Wallstadt goalie Sweden
 
It's unusual for me to Beniers the top of the draft like this. I'll just have to take a shot at Matty Beniers.
