We're inching closer and closer to opening day. Injuries have been happening, and prospects have been knocking on the door. When all is said and done, who will be on the ice in game 1?

Montreal is shaping up to be -

Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky
Roy-Dach-Armia
Newhook-Dvorak-Anderson
Pezzetta-Evans-Gallagher
ABB, Heineman

Matheson-Guhle
Hutson-Savard
Xhekaj-Struble
Barron

Montembeault-Primeau

IR: Laine, RHP

Newhook will very likely be on Dach's line, and Pezzetta won't be in the top 12. One of Heineman or Kapanen will be in the top 12.

San Diego

After they return from Prague, I'd guess that Bowers/White/Daws will get sent down to the AHL. Kevin Labanc played okay on a PTO, but they'd have to cut somebody if they wanted to sign him. Luke Hughes will miss a month+ to start and Santeri Hatakka missed this trip due to injury. Team sounds hopeful that Brett Pesce will be ready to go for the home opener on the 10th. We'll see if Seamus Casey sticks around when Pesce is cleared.

PP1: Meier-Hischier-Bratt-J.Hughes-Hamilton
PP2: Tatar-Haula-Noesen-Palat-Casey

Anaheim still has some decisions to make, but I’m guessing it looks something like

Gauthier - Carlsson - Killorn
Zegras - McTavish - Terry
Vatrano - Strome - Fabbri
Mcginn - Gaucher/lundestrom-Leason/colangelo

I think gaucher might be the favorite for 4c…. The 4th wing is still pretty wide open but I expect whoever it is to split time with Johnston.

Defense is tough to say
Fowler Luneau
Lacombe Gudas
Dumolin Mintyukov

But seems hard to send down zellweger or not having him playing

For the Flames... who knows lol. I'ma have to color code this shit...

Default color = Almost 100%
Green =Will be on line, but may move to opposite wing
Blue = My educated guess
Red = other realistic options
* = Could play another position on same line

Extra Forward: Hunt Duehr, Rooney, Pelletier, Schwindt
Note: I do not think waiver exempt players like Coronato, Honzek, Morton, Klapka... etc will be considered for the extra forward slot but may be ahead of the 13th Forward on the depth chart for regular ice-time
