There's elite Marner, and then there's the braindead Marner. I wonder which one we'll see more of in the playoffs?
That tweet I saw the other day was bang on with the comparison of him, He is seriously the Joel Embid of the NHL.

He is either amazing or absolutely dogshit. There’s no safe or middle ground with him.

It’s not only marner you better look at the whole team every single player has been shit tonight and i mean every single one of them

I think thats just what we are. We aren't awful, we aren't a contender. We are the bullshit in the middle. Mid.

I would say the team playing us in their 3rd in 4 nights on a back to back currently beating us on our home ice is pretty mid.

We very well may be genuinely bad.

Tage Thompson is top 10 in the league the last 2 years in goals and goals per 60. He is by far the most dangerous scorer on that team and one of the best in the league. There is no way you should not know where he is at all times and make sure he does't get any chances like that.

I like Marner a lot but he is so cavalier with the puck in his own end. He has to be one of the worst forwards in the league for defensive zone giveaways, I don't know where you can find that stat though.
Just keep it in your head, that way the numbers never wrong:laugh:

I think if we added 3 or 4 more drop passes per PP, that'd really get it going

I think they should try to adapt it and do it in reverse. Do a series of drop passes with your back to the opponents goalie, I think this forbidden technique might get us into whatever the area beyond our opponent’s blueline is.

I mean I would probably rather us be actually bad then mid. I just don't see the wheels falling off to the point of actually being an awful team. Missing the playoffs? Absolutely.
