Is it a failure to recognize the stress the opponent would create for our depleted D or are they just not into it?

They don’t have the personal to tighten up defensively.
Our 3rd and 4th line can’t defend as they are currently set up. Our 1st line plays well at both ends of the ice but can’t play the whole game and our second line while they can normally hold their own shouldn’t really be relied on to be shut down guys.
Then our D has 2 AHL players and Klingberg who is one of the worst defenders in the league.

Just no flow and no identity right now. Feels like everyones in a position to fail.

Pk is brutal and we lack PKers. Some is due to injuries like Lilj and McCabe, but theyre just bad. Forwards feel disjointed, not pressuring, not finishing hits, not making basic plays.

It looks like a team that's checked out.

Treliving also deserves criticism because his additions have been poor but something really feels off right now.
