I'm actually choosing not to watch this game in real time as I don't need the stress. I see this game as having 1 of 2 outcomes.

The Leafs win in a tightly contested, tight checking low scoring affair. In which case hoorah!

Or

The Lightning run us hard and win as the say going away.

I'll ask once again for all of you who want to fire Shelly. Who takes the reins?

Probably Guy Boucher.
Longest losing streak under Keefe has been 5 games...so we'll see what happens tonight.
Last time we hit 6 , Babcock got fired.

Here we go boys we need all 4 lines firing on all cylinders, keep our feet moving, get pucks in deep, sticks on the ice.

It would take a miracle but yeah, hoping for that miracle is all we got.

The changed coaches mid-season, and of course Quick got super hot. But they also had Kopitar and Doughty, both of those guys had more leadership qualities in their pinky fingers than we have in our entire team. I could see Woll (or even Samsonov) getting super hot, what I don't see is that being enough for that simple reason - this team lacks character/leadership.
Which would change if they actually won.

The same is said about every star player until they win. That list is endless across all sports.

I certainly wouldn't bet on the Leafs winning the Cup this year, but I wouldn't oppose being surprised

What does Cooper care about getting "great play"? It's not Cooper punking the Toronto Media, it's anyone and everyone punking this team whenever they're in the mood to do so.

They were just talking about it on overdrive, what Cooper said, and especially what Stamkos said. The thing is, everyone knows that this team is nothing but a bunch of pansies. It's been talked about for years, everyone knows it and you can say or do whatever you want, there's nothing to be afraid of because this group never pushes back no matter what. You can insult them, bully them, injure them with dirty plays, it doesn't matter because no matter what happens, the response from the Leafs is to look in the other direction and act as if nothing happened.
What did Stamkos say?

I was working at the time so wasn't paying super close attention (don't quote me) but it was something along the lines of sticking up for each other, that's just what you do and we all know it because we all grew up playing hockey etc. I don't think he was asked specifically about what happened in Boston, but he may as well have been - somehow Noodles inferred that he was mocking our team and what a team does in a case like this, is send him a message tonight.

That's not true at all. I could give you a long list of players that have never won who's character has never been questioned. I'm also pretty sure that there are many, many teams in the league today who have never won that aren't mocked on a regular basis for being "easy to play against" etc.

I would love to be surprised by this team, but I don't see it happening.
