I think it might convince him to lower the tier of goalies - I.e. maybe go for someone like Craig Anderson as a backup

Like I was saying all day in the trade thread it’s crazy how much better a team will play in front of a goalie you’re not afraid every puck was going in against. They’re not a bad defensive team, they’re not the 79 habs, but they’re good enough back there with nhl goal tending and their elite transition and offensive game to be a contender. Every team has a “what if” situation ours is in net

They played very good defensive hockey early in the season. Campbell was a Vezina candidate by the majority of this own fanbase's admission.
Neither of these things have been present since the new year.

I hope it makes him double down on getting a good goalie. With goaltending & a healthy muzz this team can go places.
Both mrazek and Campbell have long and short track records of being above average but they also have immediate history of being absolute ass and I don’t think you can afford to risk that is about to change
