Stars jumbotron operator at it again

Congratulations Toronto.

Why you ever bring a baby to a baseball game in the first place is beyond me and the beer can didn't hit the baby. It was the splash from the beer.

Here in Toronto they celebrate first round appearances like no other fan base(it's sad really the attention the fans crave like "look at us, we matter right"), but what else do they have, it's not like they can act like they've been there before.( all 3 major league teams are the definition of futility). In places like NY, Boston, Chicago, LA, etc. they are like "first round, how cute....wake us up when we get to the Conference championship".

Considering the jays didn't make the playoffs in over 20 years, it was obviously a big deal. And to me, the biggest reason why it was an iconic 1st round win is more on how they won it. They came back from being down 0-2 in the series, they came back in a wild 7th inning after Rangers took a lead on a controversial play. It was obviously a game 5 to remember if your a jays fan. No need to be elitist about it towards an excited fan base.

Are you okay buddy? Got something you want to talk about?

The original jumbotron thing was funny, but the Dyson comment was a knockout punch from Toronto:laugh: Had all the makings of a good burn

I'm not sure why the Dallas twitter guy didn't just highlight where Toronto are in the standings after the batflip picture.

Yes, me - a person from New England who lives in Boston and is a Boston sports fan is incredibly "salty" about the numerous consecutive decades of Toronto sports teams' embarrassing futility.

1967

Woah, breaks out the big guns. You are extremely salty, and I'm not sure why. Toronto's sports are a joke and us fans know it. We don't need you coming in all high and might just because you're from Boston and put us down for celebrating what little success our city has in terms of sport.

One thing you can't take away from this city is our dedication. We are the best fans in the world for putting up with heart break year after year but coming back because we love the games, we love this city. Well see where all these true fans are when Brady retires, and the Patriots join the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins in their current state of mediocracy.

So a big **** you to everyone in here who laughs at us for celebrating a single series win in 2 decades.

The parents who took small infants to an extremely loud and aggressive AL playoff game deserved to have beer thrown at them and more.

The baby you just feel sorry for (because of who it's parents are).

I love the scoreboard antics in Dallas and also the great music being played in their barn during stoppage.

Yea they really have their in game entertainment nailed IMO. I think this one is pretty funny.

Both of them, and not really the one about copying the fans comments or whatever

Why are people taking this so seriously?!?!?!?!

Yea, seems a bit intense no? HFBoards where light humor goes to die :help:

Jumbotron guy is funny but the stars Twitter lost his battle lol

Jays beat Texas
Toronto beat Dallas
Toronto Twitter beat Dallas Twitter
Jumboteon guy just wins cause he's funny

3-1 Toronto.

Yeah, Toronto vs Dallas now is as one sided as Dallas vs Buffalo was in the 90s.

Uhh, Dallas isn't allowed to make sports jokes when Greg Hardy still plays for that city.

What the **** does that have to do with anything?!

Former Blue Jay Jose Reyes was arrested on domestic assault charges. Should I feel shame, as a Torontonian? Uh, nope.

Makes no difference whatsoever to me.

Yeah, Toronto vs Dallas now is as one sided as Dallas vs Buffalo was in the 90s.

I would've said Edmonton. :help:......

Flipping a bat during a homerun is a sign of disrespect.

I don't want to get off topic but I'd love to hear your reasoning. How is it disrespectful? Since when has flipping your bat been considered disrespectful? Some people say there is an unwritten rule, but I think that's bs. There are plenty of players that do it. It's all emotion and part of the game. Here's something that I would recommend you read.

Its a cultural disconnect more than anything as it relates to bat flips. From everything i read when this happened Puerto Rican and Dominican players are far more likely to do this than American players. I could care less either way but some people do find this disrespectful and in my opinion that needs to be checked at the door. You can celebrate in other ways that taunting the opposing team. The Texas Rangers are not going to forget about it so look for a few fastballs up and in around the head next season.

As a Blue Jays and Dallas Stars fan I have mixed feelings, but am thoroughly entertained.
