Right now, Pavelec's value is in him being on the last year of his contract. Jets aren't trading that for another goalie that will block Hellebuyck from grabbing the starter's net, especially at 2m more AAV.

At this point in time Lehtonen is one of the few goaltenders in the league you could make an argument is as bad, or worse, than Pavelec.

The main difference between the two, however, is that Lehtonen is owed 11M over the next two seasons and Pavelec is owed 4.75M for this season.

Right now, you'd have to pay a team to take on Lehtonen.

As useful as vehicles are I don't think it should come at the expense of a pretty solid hockey player in Meyers

I think winnipeg gets hosed. they get a worse contract, and a significant downgrade on D to move from 5th rd to 4th?

Definite no from the Jets. We want to get rid of a bad goalie contract not take another bigger and longer one on in the process. If the Jets are interested in anything from Dallas it's either Lindell, Honka or Backman.

Ummm...why would the Jets do this? Myers is a really good 3/4 and the only thing we get out of it is a goalie with a worse contract then the one we already have and the chance to upgrade a ****** pick one round?

This is ridiculous.
