Fitz moves have been generally accepted and acclaimed.

I think the larger issue with Fitz is not the moves he did make but rather the moves he DIDN’T. Back to back offseasons he let the forward depth completely deteriorate. I thought it was an issue going into last year. It was an issue. I thought it was a bigger issue this year. It’s been pathetic.

He has a slightly higher 5v5 pt rate than Nico. Jack isn’t that far ahead of him. Timo’s overall production is hampered by the lack of PP1. All 3 of them haven’t been producing enough at 5v5. Still feel vindicated for saying we shouldn’t have made the Timo trade if it involved Zetterlund.
Zetterlund wouldn't fix this either but Timo certainly isn't living up to expectations

That replay where Mercer goes wide to Haula for a 160 degree wide angle shot on the SH chance where Mercer is square up with goalie a lot more than Haula is exactly what pisses me off so much.

In the old days a guy like Elias or Kovalchuck would just rip it from there and try for a clean shot with a good chance to hit anywhere on the net vs. wide angle shit

I can't really fault him for the defense and goalies. He's done a good job. Good defensive draft picks too.

His work at forward is bottom 5 in the NHL level. Just utter crap. Shit forwards drafted and shit contracts handed out.

It says all you need to know when he was all in on Stamkos and Gaudreau (RIP).
Gaudreau would have been incredible here

And he did a SHIT job with the forward depth

And regardless, we are in DANGER of FOUR playoff misses in FIVE years with him as full time GM.

Ray Shero was fired when it was evident it would be FOUR playoff misses in FIVE years. And he started the damn rebuild and got that little rope.

And both made the playoffs in year 3, after missing in years 1, 2 and 4.

Zetterlund individually obviously not but if he’s not in the deal and he’s on the team right now for 1.45 mil that’s a massive boost. Or if we walk away from making the Timo trade and had Zetterlund at 1.45 with 7.35 in cap and Muk+1st to move we’re probably in better shape.

I don't like some of the defensive moves he made. Brendan Dillon for THREE years at FOUR million per? Guy will be a $4 million dollar Brendan Smith pretty soon. At least Smith was only making like $1.2 million.

He did go after Marchessault, but once he whiffed there had to be a plan B other than Tomas freaking Tatar.

Guys like him and Bastian are plugs that gotta go. And the way Haula has nosedived is just astounding. He’s gone.

Hi Gals and Guys, I screwed up i thought the game started at 7 so I missed the first period. In the second Dallas had too much time in the Devils end, The change came with the 4 minutes PK, they did a good job IMO. After the 4 min PK the Devil's offense picked up, but they can't score.

Allen has saved this game from being over with some great saves in the second.

They need to get going. Dallas goalie, Smith, is in sync, may the Devils can not score against him.

IMO Jack Hughes needs to do more. I wasn't impressed with his play in the Nation's games. I want to review his stats, i think since January 1st, he hasn't done much.

Lets get going Devils 20 or so games left. Play this way and they will be out in round 1

I think we all wish we thought the game started at 7 and missed the first period.

Thank god he didn’t get Marchessault. That’s just another example of his god awful forward evaluations.

If we weren't already there we're definitely at the point where it's not fair to get on people for no longer believing in this year's team.

It's at the very least sound the alarm time.

Especially if they don't do well on this road trip and lose to some of the dreck like Nashville and Utah.

And if there's one thing we can count on from this team since Christmas it's that they usually have a 50%-60% chance lately of coming out and getting HUMPED by the humpties.

To be honest, we should have lost to Montreal in the last game and easily could have lost to Pittsburgh if we didn't win our first shootout in 13 years.
