It wasn’t a meme at all. With Luke it was about his offensive prowess and skating, defense was secondary. No one ever thought he’d be as good as he is in that regard.

Nemec was touted as a two way defenseman, to this point he isn’t good at either of them.

I watched quite a bit of Luke at Michigan and his defense was pretty troubling. It was like at best pretty average at that level. Casey looked wayyyyy better. Luke did immediately look better once he stepped into the NHL though then obviously took a giant step this year. Looking back it makes me wonder if he just wasn’t as locked in defensively, was playing down to the competition, and was more focused on expanding his offensive game. If that was the case he took the right approach.

I don't wanna hear about getting goalied at all.

This team was getting shutout by every other swingin Dan, Scott, Mackenzie and Jordan we played, even before we started losing more than we were winning.

Not to mention getting ''goalied'' by several other BUMS.

The team was showing us who they were even before they started winning at an under NHL 500 pace for 6 or 7 weeks.

But at least we have 2 more years of Brendan Dillon to help not allow goals.
