Post-Game Talk: Stars 2 - Jets 1 in OT, Dallas win Series 4-2

Haven't had a chance to post since the game.

We played a real good game 6. A bounce here or there, Appleton being able to shoot and we're back in Winnipeg playing game 7.

Helle played a good series against Dallas, glad he pulled it together and hopefully that gives him the confidence to build in future years in the playoffs.

Devastating for Scheif to be in the box for the winner. Took absolute guts to play this game, score the goal and not getting that kill was brutal.

On to next year. Absolutely need to get Ehlers signed, it is so clear we lack depth scoring and if we lose him that is a massive hole to fill.

I don’t know where else to post this.
Have the jets done any year end locker clean out/media availability yet?
I haven’t seen anything anywhere.
I am just asking because the leafs are doing that stuff today.

Edit:never mind. I see they are in going right now

It is going on today. Morrissey, Schenn, Names, Tanev, and more have been interviewed I think. x.com is where I have seen it.

Division banner is okay but conference banner is not?
There's no trophy for winning the division, so teams hang a banner.

The conferences have the Prince of Wales Trophy and Campbell Bowl awarded to the playoff winner in each conference...so it's weird to hang a banner for "Regular Season Conference Champions" when there's already an officially recognized conference champ.

I'm very proud of the Jets to win the President's trophy, not of the trophy itself but to finish 1st after 82 games in a 32 team league is quite a accomplishment. Not saying you but even the most negative posters on here have to agree with that. Do i think we should have done better in the playoffs ? Yes, but it doesn't take anything away from the great regular season we had. We had a way better playoffs than the last 2 seasons, way better, so i'm taking some comfort in that and maybe next season we take another step.
You raise valid points. I don't really care about the President's Trophy, but the fact they played much better this playoffs is definitely good. There are definitely other fan bases out there that cannot say that right now.

We didn't get a regular 8th seed.
The Blues somewhat like their miracle 2019 run came out of no where to be one of the best teams in the league over the last few months.
If Calgary or Vancouver slide into that spot I think it's fair to say that the Jets could have had an easier time and been less banged up after round 1.
No guarantees of course but by all accounts St Louis was way better than Cal/Van and every other Wild Card team in playoffs in either conference.
Not much of a "prize" for winning the Presidents Trophy.
Fair point. St. Louis doesn't seem to be the average 8th seed, Jets probably would have been better off facing Minnesota also. Although it's hard to gauge how much the St. Louis series impacted play in the Dallas series. The skaters seemed to outplay Dallas for the most part.

Jets fans seriously sounding like Leafs fans of yester-years now. What's that saying? You may become the very thing you hate on... something like that
