Just finishing the last couple of episodes and while I like The Mandalorian, this series blows it out of the water. The first half of the season was good but the second half turned into so much more than I expected. The acting is top notch across the board, I don't think I can say that for any Star Wars series movie or TV show.

What a gem this show is, hopefully it becomes popular enough to continue for at least a few more seasons. I love the gritty, darker feel to this. It's been a long time coming for these Star Wars series.

I believe they're only doing two seasons. Originally had plans for 5 but whittled it down to just 2 for whatever reasons.

This is a video that I found really interesting. It's more than just "shot on location" (duh). He goes over how shots are established, how perspective is used and other reasons why the show felt more believable than previous Star Wars shows. I appreciate the directing, especially, even more now.

Great video. I especially like his comments from 5:30 - 9:00 about perspective and worldbuilding. This is part of what made the original SW trilogy so compelling, especially against the background of 1977 sci-fi. Rogue One/Andor is the first entry which has really lived up to that legacy, and the video does a great job of explaining why.

One of these makes a nice picture for your computer wallpaper, the other triggers your "flight" response.

For that matter, it brings to mind just how promising the new trilogy was in its first entry. The Force Awakens used a lot of these same techniques of perspective, sensory detail, world building, ordinary people, etc. By the end of the trilogy we were back to big-stage battles without a lot of substance.

I'm not very impressed with this story, I thought that the plot would be more interesting and the guy who looks like Kyle MacLachlan would play some more important role. And it's not really Star Wars

So the final episode of the series will be set 3 days before the events of Rogue One.

Speaking to Empire about season 2, star Diego Luna and showrunner Tony Gilroy confirmed that the last trio of Andor episodes—with season 2 having a structure where, unlike season one, the 12 episodes are broken down into 3-episode chapters that will each advance a year further in the Star Wars timeline to the events of Rogue One and A New Hope—will be set just a few days before Rogue One opens, covering the last three days before the film. And with that end goal in mind, star and showrunner like are well aware that Andor has a lot to live up to coming off of its incredible first season.

Hey, you're right. I couldn't put a face to the name, but she was the crazy assassin girl that Arya meets in Braavos in Season 5.

I also just learned that I'd seen her before as Anne Neville in The White Queen, so I've now seen her in three different season-long roles without realizing that it was the same actress.

It was her voice that made me realize. I had a YouTube video about Game of Thrones on in the background, and Waif spoke and I suddenly put it together.

One of my favourite scenes in the entire series is when she brings the multiple thefts to the attention of the intelligence bureau, and you're 100% expecting her old white man superior boss to dismiss it out of hand entirely, because you've seen it a thousand times before, and instead he listens to her and gives her more authority to act on it.

She's ruthless and cunning and indicative of how the Empire could actually accumulate and maintain that kind of power.

Her chin, and intensity of her bottom to upper bite could create controlled fusion.

But yeah, 100/100 casting and performance.

Got nominated for the best drama Emmy. Surprised Skarsgard nor Serkis got noms, but who knows what's up with the campaigning that goes on with these awards with all turmoil at Disney.
