I'd wager that's about to change.
I can see the want to be at 22 originally makes getting your spare guys game action a lot easier.

Since game 5 of the season, the Jets have carried 23 players, because they have Cap space expect them to carry more after the trade deadline.

Coghlan hasn't played in 11 games. Probably won't play now that the schedule gets harder. I wonder if they are keeping him around as an extra body to practice special teams. Or just taking care of the player so that he wants to come back as a UFA. $100 000 in an NHL paycheque goes a long way to quality of living, with the greater part of a $200 000 AHL salary awaiting him.

I'll take your wager on Fleury...Chynoweth likes him, the coaches just like Stanley more.

And with team scoring almost 5 goals per game and averaging nearly 2 against, it's hard to see a guy like Big Stan getting knocked out of the lineup when Heinola is finally ready to play.

I'll be interested to see if Fleury draws back in for the Bolts, because there is usually something extra a player has to give against their former team that gave up on them.

Yeah I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon. January we might be having a different discussion. See what happens with Villi

Its pretty basic, you cant teach size, and if he is a serviceable bottom pair he isn't going anywhere. That long reach is handy in the D zone.

His long reach was on display last night - he broke up a number of plays with that telephone pole stick he uses.
That height is about more than being a physical player -
I think him and Miller are starting to build some chemistry - they look more comfortable each game.

I think that's the biggest area of improvement for Stanley if he really wants to maximize his value to the team.

I still feel he's too light on his feet and stick, he loses his balance too easily and loses battls he should win.

I think he needs to add some weight and strength, hopefully that's a priority for him.

I think he's 240

I remember hearing years ago about how committed he is with regards to putting in the work during offseasons (and I think that's one of the reasons the org sticks with him - he's always done everything asked of him, and done it as a pro)

I'd love to see him run a couple cycles of teen and 1G of test a week... get him up to 315lbs of pure juice-monkey rage lol
