I’ll be shocked if we end up with a new Eastern Conference champion.
 
Canes are a good team, but have to think they're pretty outgunned by FLA. Rich got richer, they even added Marchand.

The toughness factor. The Caps aren’t all that tough, the Panthers are very tough. The Canes might be a little tougher than the Caps, but Florida is another matter altogether. Would love to see a Canes v Oilers final, but I suspect we end up with the opposite.
 
Hoping for the Oilers but Florida/Dallas would be more fun.

Yup, Florida just has it all - especially in the playoffs. Pain in the ass team to play against and has plenty of skill to back it up. Plus Bob is back there.

Stars / Oil could be an interesting series but at the end I think Dallas emerges due to better goaltending.

Yeah, Florida just seems to be Carolina with some actual differnce makers skill wise.
They basically have the one thing that Caroline doesn't and what has been holding back the Canes all those years.

On paper I think Dallas should win the series but the Oilers are just strange/nuts or whatever you want to call it.
I think the Oil somehow find a way t win this series because they just seem to have something that no one can stop or find a way to limit the other teams offenses enough to win.
 
This is one jaw-dropping statistic: Brad Marchand is the first player in NHL history to win five Game Sevens against the same franchise. And without a loss, mind you.

What an all-team defensive gem tonight by Florida. Send a tape to every Kraken player: "Play like this." Total commitment from everyone on the ice. For the most part, Cane players had no reaction time at all. I don't usually wax ga-ga over defensive play but that was a thing of beauty.

Trying to remember the last stomping after three games that was this bad. Against the Canes, Florida is averaging 5.33 goals per game while giving up 1.33 goals for a differential of +12. Meanwhile Edmonton and Dallas is developing into a real dogfight. Blissful days in Panther land, I'd assume.
 
For the third year in a row the Panthers are in the Stanley Cup final. Remember when Bobrovsky signed that big contract and tons of people proclaimed it the worst in NHL history. Doubt anyone is making that claim now.
