almost none of those guys, except Marner/Dewar, you listed have any experience killing penalties at the NHL level going up against OHL players for Cowen and then having to face a PP against guys like Kucherov/Pastrnak/Panarin/Crosby is a little different. so again your plan is to go with Forwards who are complete rookies at penalty killing and expecting it to go well?Cowan also sound defensively & also plays the PK, along with Marner, Knies, McMann, Holmberg, Dewar & possibly Domi or Matthews would get PK time. Special teams takes work & the right coaching, feeling good about Savard running the PP. Hopefully PK can improve & I do think Cowan could play a key role in that and maybe a Minten also if he makes the team.
