Leafs can’t take their foot off the gas pedal. Tampa will come out hard in the third, they got too much pride not to.

Just don't engage in any extracurricular BS from tampa. We got 4 goal lead lets keep the confidence of our boys especially our goalie high.

Protect Campbell at all cost though. Keep em out of the crease. Just 20 more mins; play well and 1 out of 16 is out of the way.

I say you do it. Why not. Set the tone, we are not going to take bs
Engvall would have wrecked him

By my count, they've hit or crosschecked Brodie behind the play at least 5 times so far.

They know Brodie is our best defender and are trying to wear him down by hitting him every shift with the refs not looking.

Exactly. If you're going to engage, let it be somebody like Simmonds, who knocks a couple teeth out of Hagel's head and makes taking the penalty, worth it.

I feel bad for Simmonds and Blackwell. Hasn't been on the ice at all to make any physical statements cuz of all the special teams lmao

Leafs look like a totally improved team. They saved their best for the playoffs.

Keefe took Nick Nurse's advice.

Really impressed. If they play like this they look unstoppable

That hit got to everyone's feet. Sure he went overboard but the intent was right
You play him again. If we win, you make not changes
Yeah it's funny how we can't remove that hit from the game without risking changing this massive lead. That means he shouldn't be punished. Very unorthodox way to get your team in domination mode but it worked. If he's not suspended, fire him up game 2. Couple big clean hits might set the tone again.

Agreed. Sure he went a little overboard but his physicality puts Tampa players on notice whenever he’s out on the ice. I’d ice Clifford - Blackwell - Simmonds again as our fourth line next game.
