It's a high pressure situation for the Leafs at home. This is the game that will show their true character.

I expect a low scoring game.

2-1 TB
Nylander has been the best offensive player for the Leafs again. Attacking when ever possible and setting up others.

Yes. Very envious of a team who can’t get out of the first round.
I guess that is true when your team hasn't made the playoffs, but you can still be proud of your team. You just have to bring up the last two years teams.

It boggles my mind why the media, particularly the Toronto-area media, will go out of their way to protect Tavares or deflect blame from him. They're quicker to criticize guys like Matthews, Marner and especially Nylander, for sub-par performance. But as long as Tavares isn't literally shooting pucks into his own net, they'll find every excuse in the book to protect him.

I don't know if it stems from him being a "Toronto boy" and him being a boy prodigy who came up through the GTA system and they see him as "their guy". But I'll guarantee that if the Leafs lose this series, it'll be guys like Matthews and Marner getting the blame while the media will talk about Tavares "at least trying hard and doing the little things well".
Nylander has been the Leafs best player t’night.

Reading this thread, and seeing people get angrily emotional over a children's game played by men, is the best part of the game.

Go out and get some fresh air people; at the end of the day this will have no real meaning to your life.
"And so they all did...."

Nylander has been ok.
He can't be on the point because due to his lack of focus, he let's the puck bobble past him far too often.

It has led to at least 5 breaks for Tampa this series.
Really infuriating

I don't blame Nylander for not getting his hair mussed up. As long as he gets some points it's all good.
