Would be nice if our Captain, supposedly one of the best goal-scorers in the world, showed up on the score sheet. If he’s so inured he can’t do that then he shouldn’t have played all year.

I mean we’d all like more, but acting like Matthews isn’t doing anything offensively and others are is kinda disingenuous. He’s not scoring, but he’s not really shooting either, and that what we’ve seen much of the season. He’s got 3 points, which is what 1 point back of the top on the team? He’d also winning a shit ton of faceoffs, hitting, one of, if not the leader of the forwards in blocks.

If it would have healed by sitting or if he could have had surgery and been back for the playoffs I’m sure they’d have taken that route.

If people dont think a player who scored 69 goals and 60 goals to 30 goals the next season isnt hurt right now then I dont know what to say. He is 100% hurt and clearly needs surgery to get better in the off season. Either back or wrists.

He has never looked good all season. He has become a playmaker this year and never shoots. Does that sound like matthews?

Yea, but for 13.5M he should be taking games over. He needs to put the puck in the net. That other stuff is good, but Kampf can do those things too. He needs to show that he is one of the best players in the game. You guys keep saying that he is better than someone like Draisaitl, for example. I have not seen it.

What is blah?

He wins almost every faceoff. Leads forwards in blocked shots, is hitting and playing great defensively.

100% it would be better if he was scoring every night but he is helping the team win.
