I'm an engineer so it's part of my lexicon. But really, Spielberg is a pretty detailed oriented guy so it's still weird to me.

I also feel not having Keefe is a reprise. The reffing union had a hate on for that guy... I know it started with one guy and for what reason, but clearly others were onboard as well. Seems Berube has a higher level of respect and we get a more honestly officiated game.

I often had that impression myself. Not sure if it was a lack of diplomacy or just incessant whining but there didn’t seem to be much benefit in him flapping his gums.

Not just us though. DoPS doesn't seem to give a shit about x-checks to the face, neck and teeth these playoffs. They are so unbelievably inconsistent.

Edit: the x-check to Gallagher's mouth last night was the worst so far. DoPS...crickets. Unbelievable really. They aren't serious people.

I think we're like 0-11 or something in games McCauley officiates, also every single game that goes out of control or has blatant missed calls or phantom calls, somehow always seems to feature McCauley or Lee

I don't think officiating as a whole is biased in any one teams favor, I do however strongly believe McCauley has a bias against Toronto and Chris Lee seems to have a bias against all Canadian teams.

0 complaints about the rest of the leagues officials, just those 2 guys in particular.

We were 0-11 going into the series last year. Pretty sure it's 0-13 now.

And besides the two you mentioned, there's also Kelly Sutherland.

I'm talking about suspensions not reffing calls. Anything boarderline by us is a suspension. Meanwhile you can find a bunch of compilations online of other players doing the same or worse and hearing nothing. Hell, there have been clips of a Leaf suspension and then the same type of hit made on a Leaf and still nothing.

Literally no chance of this happening. There is no "let down" with the style the leafs play. They will simply slow the game down and capitalize when Ottawa makes mistakes.

The team who has one playoff round win in the last 20 years has "no chance" of playing like ass tonight?

They've disappointed us too many times. Even the most optimistic of us has doubts. We have come to expect failure. We beat Ottawa, and people will be saying... oh, but it was just Ottawa around here. I guess when you earn a reputation, it takes a lot for that to be removed.

Hopefully they prove us wrong.

Those of us who have been around know better than to put faith into this squad come playoff time, one game doesn't erase countless years of failure.
