I think everyone expects this to be a close game, I'm going the other way.

The Sens didn't magically figure out how playoff hockey works after one game. They'll be more disciplined (basically because they can't be possibly be any less), but Ullmark is still a sieve, Stutzle can't get past the Leafs D and Brady is clearly not 100%.

4-1 Toronto.
It'll probably look more even than that score but that's how Toronto wins these days.

Not a fan of moving Holmberg up to line 2 not gonna lie. Hopefully we crush their spirits tonight. They can be really happy with their L again.

If we could just have Kadri centering Domi and Robertson, omg what a f***ing line that would be

Would also push holmberg down the lineup and maybe to the press box as injury replacement

Have a terrible feeling that Domi will be a dummy tonight.
He was a dummy in game 1 and they smoked them lol Domi is so much better when he’s actually not trying to be something he’s not. He turns the puck over like crazy cause for some reason he thinks he’s a playmaker. Just dump the puck in, go get it, and hit someone, simple

I just mean that he's probably going to get a couple of needless penalties that will put his team in the hole.

Have a feeling they'll be on the PK early in this one. Going to be one of those 'weather the storm' type games
.
Going up 2-0 would be a feeling many here haven't enjoyed in a long, long time, maybe ever.
Yeah, for sure. Expectation for me is that this is a very close game on the scoreboard.

Sure would be nice for these guys to stop the opponent again and show them who's boss. Not sure that is actually in their leadership's DNA though. This would be a good time to continue with the "new" stuff.

If only the Leafs had a Tkachuk!

Yes, we are missing a meathead with hockey skills. I hope he is as quiet tonight as he was on Sunday.

I am just hanging on to the hopes that something has changed within the DNA of the team. This stuff has to come from the core... perhaps the coach is helping weed it out of them.

It is wildly hilarious seeing Sens fans hold onto 5v5 play like a precious baby after game 1 when all season they were a average-straight up bad 5v5 team offensively where as we were good. They should be terrified that we dusted them in a game that according to them...we didn't play well at even strength lol
That clown bert on the mains literally pulled up all the advanced stats yesterday and said if they flipped goalies they would've won, some serious copium. Reminds me of Leaf fans who held onto Corsi and Expected Goals when the team got trounced by lesser squads like Columbus and Montreal.

We've heard a lot of talk over the years about lessons and learning and growing. How it feels different this year. Tonight is going to be a really indicator as to whether that's actually true or not.

We've seen across the league that game 2s play out very differently to game 1.

I expect a much more engaged and competent Ottawa team tonight - think they'll have large sections of the game where they are on top. Expecting the shots to be heavily lopsided again. Tkachuk and Stutzle won't be that quiet again.

Leafs just need to stay patient, and ensure they do the things they need to do to be successful. Continue exposing their D-core, continue planting those seeds of doubt into Ullmark, and avoid the stuff between the whistles.

Going 2-0 up would be huge for this core, and for the fanbase, as to whether things truly are different.

It’s in his DNA that’s for sure. Father was a better pugilist, son’s a better player, both have it in them to do something stupid at the peril of their teams. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree……

Every series is meaningful. Focus on winning this one before looking at round 2
I just don't find this series all that interesting. I get the whole battle of Ontario thing, but I don't care about Ottawa. They aren't at the same level as the real contending teams. The Leafs will win this series pretty easily. I want to see them tested against a real team, which won't happen in this round.

I know team is rolling right now but I do really wonder what the plan is for the third line going forward, I don't love our current options. If Scott keeps playing well then maybe he is ready to be the full-time 3C? But I see other teams with guys like Lowry, Lundell, Nic Roy, Nick Paul, Wyatt Johnston etc etc and we simply don't have anybody like that and I worry it will get exposed. Even Pinto is a huge mismatch though you can argue Cozens is actually their 3C at this point. Domi isn't it, Kampf isn't it, Holmberg isn't it, Laughton who knows..
