With Tampa, when we won the first game 5-0, we lost the series in 7 but the following year we lost the first game 7-3 and we won that series in 6. So who knows what to think.

We also got extremely lucky in OT and winning games we had no business winning.

Last year took all the emotions I had from watching the team.

I’m numb to all the failing. I just want to win. I’m at the point now where if we lose we lose… like what else do we know lol im expecting to win, there’s nothing to lose for us fans. We’ve experienced some of the worst failures ever… what could possibly happen lol

That specific series was an outlier. I feel many of the others were the better team and lost. Only these things can happen to the Leafs of course.

My god Ottawa has a brutal bottom 4. Granted Sanderson and Chabot are legit but who the hell is that playing on the 3rd pair? Berube has to take advantage of that. You gotta run their bottom guys every chance.

If there is a year for it to happen it’s this one. Goaltending, D, forwards all favor the Leafs on paper in round 1. 2nd round would be the toughest imo. I fear no one in the Conference Final and then SCF is always a pick’em. If the Leafs get past Ott/TB/Florida, they have 1 of Wash/MTL/NJ/Carolina. Leafs should be favoured in 3 out of 4 of those series

For me, the only two teams that can potentially beat Toronto are Vegas and Colorado, and I'm guessing one of them will reach the Cup final. Not a single team in the concerns me.
