Vegas finally woke up for a bit but tied going into the third is a good place to be. We were fighting the puck hard in our own end and losing structure a lot. Chasing pucks, Dmen at the Blueline a few times, no clean outlets.

We were also getting caught with 3 forwards deep in their end that period. Not supporting our d and they couldn't play with a tight gap like the first. Need a high guy to support so our D so we don't have to back off as hard.

Jets stopped putting pucks on bro. He was giving lots of rebounds off his pads and we got away from that. Need to get back to structure, win battles and put pucks on bro again.

You'd have to expect a push back period from and that is what we saw. 2-2 is okay going into the 3rd, but my God is Sports Net a horrible way to watch playoff hockey. I've had it on mute throughout the 2nd period, and even my wife said I like this much better.

The only thing worse is the panel between period - not much love for the Jets (other than Helle)
After the first, they spent the intermission talking about how bad our last PP was despite the score and shot count.
I mute these guys and ignore the play by play.

Schiefele should be embarrassed by the first VGK goal. Weak play at O blue line with Pionk pinch, chooses to stay on ice instead of change and then zero effort when they get back to the D zone. Literally watches Karlsson walk through the slot and score. If you're going to stop moving at least do it in a spot where being a pylon will be useful.
