Washington is using Dylan McIlrath in a playoff game in 2024. I mean... what the f***?

This Capitals team is so bad  The fact that NYR aren't beating them by 3-4 goals each game is also a stain on them. Figure it out you bums.

Ok, have NHL DJs never listened to Enter Sandman before? Why do they keep playing it in games when their teams are trailing?

Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land

Like how could you possibly interpret that as anything other than saying goodnight and closing the door on your team if you’re trailing?

Rags vs Canes round 2 should be interesting
Not if the Rangers play the way they did in this series.

At 5v5 Washington actually outshot (79-73), out-chanced (78-59), and had more high danger chances (29-22) than the Rangers.

NYR scored 6 PPGs and 2 SHGs this series. Over half their goals on special teams. Against Carolina they will have to be MUCH better.

Edmonton has a good chance this season. Very easy path to conference final. :( We have to stop them.
On the other hand, having easy path to conference finals can back fire for Edmonton because the other team is gonna be more battle tested. One of Dallas, Vegas, Avs assuming Avs do advance to 2nd round and if relatively healthy, they’re gonna be more ready for a tough battle than the Oilers

That's actually true, as long as we don't lose every key player to these battles.

Vegas/Dallas/Jets should make us a better team. They will push us play better.

Interesting. That series was too boring to pay much attention. Was under the impression the Rags were not a particularly good 5 on 5 team during the regular season and that doesn’t seem to have changed in the playoffs

I personally have long thought the Rangers are not as good as their regular season record.

Only two contending teams in the division. And due to wild card seeding Vegas plays in the other. Its not that much of a change. In 2022 the Oilers had a bye into the semis and hadn't been tested at actually playing defense in the post season.
