Talk about missed opportunity. Oilers or Nucks have no chance against Dallas and wouldn’t have a chance against the Avs either. Beating Dallas would have been a ticket to the finals

Slapping the Canucks around like that is going to piss Tocchet off the way it did after game 4. Methinks the Canucks come out and take game 7 unless Silovs is trash.
Tocchet is almost Keenan-lite. With Keenan there almost always seemed to be one player who flourished under his iron fist and at least one player he screamed “This. Is. SPARTA!!!!” at and kicked him into the doghouse never to return. I swear he literally tried to end the careers of Stephen Weiss and Kristian Huselius.

A game like this one would cook any opponent, Canucks didn't even show up at all, 10 shots in 16 minutes in the 3rd period is hilariously bad. HOWEVER, they have controlled the series when they get the matchups and the last change that they want so there is a legit chance they could eliminate Edmonton on home ice strictly because of that.
Picture if Ian Cole wasn't playing in this series though?! It would've been over in 5 lol.
Also, what is this Knoblach bloke doing? Pickard played out of his bloody mind in Game 5 and even though he shouldn't be anywhere near the starter net, you go back to Skinner? What type of mental gymnastics is he conducting?

No one can tell me they don’t have a black ace who can take Cole’s place adequately. All he has to do is not continually hand the game over to Edmonton.

Juulsen is next man up and he was forced to play for the game Soucy was suspended (Game 4). It did not go great as his very poor read at the end of the second period led to a 2-on-1 and an Oilers goal.

Freddie Andersen was out half the season with blood clotting issues.
Blood clots also ended NBAer Chris Bosh's career.

Flash ended up shut down for the season in his time with the Avs and missed like a half a year total with blood clots as well. That was even worse though since he ended up with a pulmonary embolism
