Makars defensive game this season was and still is abysmal. Thats the thing I dont get. His offensive numbers are great but defensively this season he just seems lost and confused. I was never Gustav Forsling good defensively but he was still better than average there. This season hes looked like Andre Benoit defensively alot of times.

I had a bad filter on the advanced stats. I'm in the process of updating the post with refreshed numbers as appropriate and will also throw up the real TOI and HDCF%, MDCF% and LDCF% numbers as well.

If Demko is healthy, you go with Demko. Dude is a top 5 goalie when his body isn't breaking down and the type that can steal many games. The if healthy is the big part. They rushed Demko once already this postseason.

Putting Demko in when he’s not healthy and giving him another setback would be such a peak Canucks move. That year where you couldn’t turn on the news without a somehow very important but nothing new learned update about Luongo’s groin was painful

Marchand is many things but a whiner he is not. You don't find him complaining all that much. He seems to be a "give it and expect to have to take it" agitator.

The whole "screaming a word in the national anthem" thing is so stupid. Carolina screams "red" when it comes up in the lyrics.

"Hey! Red! We have some red in our jerseys! Let's scream that word!!"

Yes, I sound like a cranky old man. No, I don't care.

Next time I attend an Avs game I'm going to scream when the word "stripes" comes up because our jersey has some stripes.
