The updated ratings only added 15% or so in extreme cases. It's almost entirely heated rivalry people watching hockey now.

Plus CBC is "free" in Canada too so why illegally stream?

CBC gem streaming is free for regular season but not playoffs.
But you can watch playoffs for free on an HD antenna.
