Stanley Cup Finals getting excellent viewership

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
Is there a way to find out the top five markets for ratings? Usually Buffalo and Minnesota are up there. Obviously Raleigh and Vegas would be top two in some order.

New viewers are hooked pretty quickly by the intensity of the game. I get people all the time telling me how they’re watching the finals/playoffs. Does it transfer to solid, new fans?…who knows, probably not so much…

Mildly surprised, only because I haven't watched more than 30 minutes total. But that's just me.

Remember, now that sports betting is legal it's hard to not have record views.

Looks like all the "nobody will watch" folks were wrong, again.

I'm pleasantly surprised. The quality of the finals has been top notch so far, but I wasn't sure that the teams involved would garner much interest nationwide in the U.S. to be honest.

This is good for NHL that 2 sunbelt teams get good viewership.

I think in past NHL say it not get bump from sending players from Olympics, but it seem like the difference in those tournaments was America did not win.

America loves winners and USA winning gold maybe bring more interest to hockey compare to winning silver.

But also- almost all sports are up. NBA getting monster ratings for this finals too. Most watched final since 1998 apparently.

So I don't think Cup final viewership that impressive because ratio of NHL:NBA finals viewership doesn't really stand out. If that ratio improve compare to historic number, then maybe you can say impressive, but right now- NHL just benefitting from rising tide.

Just like "business experts" say Bettman do good job of increasing revenue, but omit how much growth almost all North American sports leagues are seeing.

In the US. Not in Canada
Not sure about that I haven’t seen any Canadian viewership, everyone I know in Canada is loving watching two well balanced teams in the finals. I will say from the Canadians I know, Canes are clearly their favourite team in the finals. I’m loving it, it’s a pleasure to watch.

It’s not all that uncommon that the opinion of the hardcore fan (which describes most of us because we actually bothered to register an account and post here) is actually a minority opinion and the vast majority feels otherwise and/or the opposite.
Folks on HF are vultures when it comes to their hockey
