Stanley Cup Favorites - #6

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Who's the sixth favorite for the 2025 Cup?

#1. Florida Panthers (44.8%)
#2. Dallas Stars (47.6%)
#3. Colorado Avalanche (40.6%)
#4. Vegas Golden Knights (33.3%)
#5. Winnipeg Jets (58.3%)

Should be LA over Min, LA is healthy and Min is not (neither should be considered a favorite) LA's home record is enough to make them the best of the rest that are not listed.

if the answer comes from who has played best since 4 nations then you’ll maybe pick from stl and Ottawa. There are historic cases of teams improving in the second half and winning cups, and so sometimes lumping the first half of the results into the mix blinds us to who is playing well.

but I’d put Toronto there. They have matured guys in key roles. I know they’re struggling now but their big team is stacked. I really have a hard time picking against top heavy teams whose top heavy players are 27-30. You’re really in the wheelhouse of game breaking performance.

Caps.

The names may be new but they play dominant hockey. Strong on offence, defence, goaltending and depth.

Shouldn’t be a west team imo. Tampa makes sense with the playoff resumes they got.
