NHL Standings Watch 2024-2025 - UPDATED 3/23/25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
new here, sick of the reddit hive mind, just found out about this board and hope to talk hockey with fellow fans, so here goes with my first post:

who are we hoping for tonight? NJD and Philly an argument made for either would work, probably going to pull for Philly on the idea that they are unlikely to catch up, best of course is the game not to go to overtime

and of course San Jose to bury Pittsburgh further
Welcome! I have a close friend who is a NJD fan so if I have to root for one or the other it would be them. I'd be as likely to root for Philly as I would the freaking Habs...not happening. Ever. :-)

12th/16 in the eastern conference for regulation play pts%.
14th/16 in goals for
13th/16 in goals against .
No team is lower than the B's in both categories.

Ugly

Bruins are toast imo. Watching the Wings and Blue Jackets last 3-4 games, those teams have much more hunger and urgency than the Bruins and the Hockey is so much more entertaining.
NYR just Adding Miller , I see surging by them and who knows with the Hans and NYL could swing either way, but clearly this team as is, will be on the outside looking in.

Yup. Pretty much the worst case scenario. Not only is everyone around Boston playing well, but they're doing it with games in hand

Potential four point swing coming this weekend, a Bruins loss + a Jackets win tomorrow in Dallas puts them up 5 points with a game in hand. Detroit can pass them with a win and a Bruins loss with 3 games in hand. The Rangers can pull within 2 with the same, etc.

Numbers are starting to turn against them.
