So the majority of the contenders?

Oh alright I didn’t know we were classifying all those teams as contenders
Well if you’re counting the Rangers at 52 points like everyone seems to then yeah. Certainly the first group though - I dont consider the Penguins in the mix but I didn’t really see the Islanders getting hot either.

General, overall point is that the Bruins are playing right with the others in the Mid Morass results wise.

Bad news, good news. Detroit is on a 6 game win streak (bad); Montreal is dead last on your chart and has lost five in a row (happy dance).

and Detroit just passed us

I've been on it for some time now that GD. Games in hand for other teams is not good, but that goal differential continues to be the most disturbing number. Has been all season. It's been just about the only consistent characteristic of the 24/25 Bruins.

I just don't think I can recall a team with a -26 GD even smelling the playoffs once the season is said and done.

Detroit will be buying at the deadline as they want to be in the playoffs

IF the Bruins miss they need to be in the bottom 11 to get a chance in the lottery

Neely and Sweeny have the crop report but is it the right one?

Last year’s Capitals were a -37 and made playoffs.

I wonder how many of these bubble teams are going to buy in an attempt to get over the hump and get their young talent some experience in the playoffs.
Just a completely different situation compared to the Bruins who expected to be a Cup contender this year.

They got better goaltending that this crop of Bruins.

I think I've hurt my brain. I don't need coffee anymore, as I just pop over to any stats site and see the Bruins dive bombing their goal differential and I'm ready to yell at snowplows.
