Stan Bowman Worst GM of the Year?

Bowman barely added any players to the rosters. He did acquire a few players who were injured at the time but they are no playing. For the crap that happened from July 1st to July 24th is purely on Jackson. Bowman did not have the money to keep Broberg. Hollway yes but not Broberg and ended up paying a step price for Walman due to that Jackson leaving him with no money

I've never really paid much attention to the Oilers roster. But wow it looks like the isle of misfit toys. So many names you know but ones that never really made it or were cast off by other teams.

Kane, Connor Brown, Pickard, Perry, Klingberg, Jeff Skinner, Henrique...

As mentioned, most of the damage was done by Jackson, but honestly most of those moves looked good at the time.

On an individual level perhaps. But on a collective level, it didn't look like a cohesive plan to address the biggest issues.

But Janmark-Henrique-Brown was a great shutdown line. To bring back that shutdown line for a combined 5.4 million looked brilliant. How can you know all 3 are going to have a major regression?

Henrique is 35, a downswing is not at all surprising. He was a great rental, but sometimes you gotta be content to let a rental be just a rental.

Never seen someone do so little with so much. He was brought in for a win now window and did nothing relevant.

He shouldn't have been hired in first place.

Walman trade was good. Not getting a g or legit RD is criminal.
