800,000...750,000 for Garth Brooks and 600,000 for Simon and Garfunkel

I still can't get over the fact that Southside Johnny, chosen to play as the musical act because they are "all about Jersey" & this was a "NJ event", shows up on stage decked out in Rangers gear. Every single one of them. Not one Devils scarf or anything. ****ing ********. Way to go along with the Jersey theme boys! If I was management or the person who booked them, I would be LIVID! If at least one of the 5 guys wore a Devils scarf or hat or something, I would let it slide, but that was almost like a direct FU to Devils and its fans.

this whole stadium series is about big money and exposure
True, but I almost feel as if a stadium series/WC game can be done separately and independent from an annual RBA retro game and both would be raging successes. Frankly RBA can't compete with an SS/WC, it would basically be our annual retro game in a cooler setting with 5k more seats. Very, very doable & wouldn't really interfere with a WC/SS.

Very easy to do concert seating because, well, stages are elevated. Even for the philharmonic it's elevated. For a hockey arena where are you going to build all the temporary seating in central park? You have to find a way to get 30,000 seats, at a minimum.
Shakespeare in the Park I think is the only area of CP with elevated seating. And it takes up quite a bit of space and it's only a couple thousand.
It would have to be something intimate. They have already done 12,000 for beach volleyball there, cant see why they couldnt do the same for hockey. That setting would be amazing
I'll say it one last time, the lower bowl at RBA is too low. No one will have a view of the game. Even if they could why wold they want to play a game where only 12-13k would be able to see?
That's understandable.
How come there aren't more concerts there? I thought the Dispatch show was great.
We reach out to several bands a year. The difficulty is finding a band/performer that will let Red Bull run the show alongside their roadies as well as be able to put on a show that won't damage the pitch. The RBA grounds crew doesn't even like when the team trains at RBA. They nearly got a deal done for a concert last October.

I feel like RBA is the perfect venue for Dave Matthews Band.
Anyway... As a Red Bulls fan and soccer fan I like that they take such good care of the pitch anyway.
Southside Johnny can take his ****** band, ****** Rangers gear, and 1 cup in the last 74 years and shove it straight up his ass.

The Green And Black’, long been the official OverKill colors, so I assume the lead track is a dedication to the fans? “Quite honestly, I can tell you where I got it (title). I’m a big Jersey Devils (ice hockey) fan. They start off their commercials with, ‘In the name of those who bleed the red and black.’ I thought, ‘That’s too good to not steal!’ As time passes, the value of what this band has done weighs specifically on the shoulders of (fan) support than necessarily just what we create. It becomes a combination of the two and it’s always good to give a nod to the cheap seats.”

Are you sure? I sat on the sides before in the first row and its elevated by what like 6-8 feet?
I'm not doubting your opinion & not trying to go against you here, but saying the entire lower bowl won't see is a bit of a stretch. Maybe 1-2000 fans in the first rows won't see much, that I can agree with, but not half the arena.
From my experience being there & this picture, I think 90-95% of the arena would have a view comparable to the Rock. Maybe even as low as 80%, but a good 20-22,000 fans should have a nice close view not much different from an NHL arena.

I know it would have raised some eyebrows given how image conscious the NHL is but they should have brought in New Jersey's own OVERKILL. Bobby Blitz is actually a huge devils fan to boot.
He actually wrote a track inspired by a NJD marketing slogan!:
