Brady Smith (the other Brady Smith) is a dynamic player that keeps improving. If the Soo can get him that would be a good play for the future.

Any chance the Soo can get any of the 08s that haven't reported? Croskery would be great but doubtful. What about future goaltending?
We've got Landon Miller for at least 2 more seasons and Reid Thomas is signed as well. We don't have much need for a goaltender.

3rd lowest point totals on the team and has played most of thr minutes of anyone in thr lower half...and had had power play time
I dont mind Brown, but with him out we see Vader actually play and get some decent ice time, i think he is wayyy more effective when he gets to play, adds a spark every shift hes out there

Not to mention there will be other goalies in the mix now with NCAA ruling change. William Camputaro, Noah Tegelaar, and Otto Nuto.

I really thought Brown was poised for a breakout year and boy was I wrong.

I saw a lot of good things out of him the second half of last year. He wasn't shying away from the physical the way he had been, his vision really started to be highlighted with some of his playmaking, and I just thought that he had the tools and was starting to figure out how to put them all together. 11 points in his last 15 games of the regular season had me figuring him to center our top 6 for ~ 0.9 ppg this year.

This year has been a huge step back rather than a step forward. I really can't explain it. And it doesn't really make sense to use him as a fourth line center if it forces a younger player out of the lineup.

The Soo
Brown's been given every opportunity to figure it out. It might be time for a clean break. Give him a change of scenery and let our young guys battle for the extra ice. Because that 1st round pick was a swing and a miss lol

On top of that, the linemate that seemed to help him find that success last year (DeZoete) is no longer on the team. I was right with you. He was really effective late in the season and in the playoffs and seemed to just go right back to his old habits. We can move him, but really need to find another center first.
